IT IS HAPPENING AT LAST!

Wednesday 18th November

After a great deal of anticipation and some delays work has finally begun on our new school hall. The construction company Hanem Group, is trying to work in well with the normal operations and activities at the school in order to minimise disruption and impact. We look forward to seeing the building move to completion in 2010 and are very keen to put this school and community resource to good use.

BER – Building Education Revolution

At last we have begun the construction of our school hall. This week Mr Hewitt met with representatives of Hanem Group who have won the contract for our project.

Early next week we should see fencing erected to secure the building site and then the real activity will follow. This is a good time to stress the need for caution when moving around the school grounds and reinforce the importance of not driving into the school unauthorised and, also using the main pedestrian access when entering and exiting the school.

State Relay

Ten excited Miranda North members of the Junior Girls and Boys Relay Teams were a credit to themselves, their families and our school with their performances at the State Athletic Championships. The Junior Boys won their heat on the way to a very creditable 5th in the Final. While the girls displayed, great empathy and sportsmanship, despite an unfortunate mishap. They showed what teamwork and effort is all about.
