After a great deal of anticipation and some delays work has finally begun on our new school hall. The construction company Hanem Group, is trying to work in well with the normal operations and activities at the school in order to minimise disruption and impact. We look forward to seeing the building move to completion in 2010 and are very keen to put this school and community resource to good use.

We have our Orientation Day for Kindergarten 2010, next Thursday 29 October. Enrolments are continuing to come in and we look forward to meeting our new students next week.
This Orientation Day will be followed by another opportunity for the Kindergarten students to participate at our school (Thursday 12 November).

Our Senior Choir performed at the Opera House last night in the NSW Primary School’s Choral Festival. It was a sensational evening and our students must be commended on their performance. Well done Choir! Thank you to our mums that assisted us – Carmel Vandermaal, Marnie Wilson and Karen Crombie. Your efforts were appreciated. Thanks also to Mrs Wilson and Mrs Atkins who accompanied them all day.
We wish our Junior Boys Relay team and Junior Girls Relay team all the best at the State Carnival on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October.
Good luck to Kierra Griffiths (9 yrs 100m) and Jacob De La Vega (Junior Boys Long Jump) as they will be competing in individual events also.
Term 4 Sport commences next week so please ensure your child wears/brings the appropriate attire for their activities.
Please note that the apples will only be slinked at Recess. Bring your apple to the canteen and it will be slinked for free or you can buy an apple for 50c.
The Slushy Machine is only for Lunchtime and is $1.80.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 10 November at 7:30pm in the Staffroom. Minutes of the September meeting are now available on the website and in our school foyer.
Our P&C are supporting Bandana Day next Friday. Bandanas will sell next Thursday and Friday mornings (29 and 30 October) before school in the playground. Bandanas are $5 each and can be worn to school on Friday ONLY. Your support will assist in raising funds for CanTeen (The Australian Organisation for Young People with Cancer).
